LockStep is a treadmill cadence app for iPhone and Apple Watch.
Data We Access
- Motion and fitness data: Apple Watch motion sensor data is used to estimate cadence in real time.
- Health data (if enabled): If Health permissions are granted, LockStep may read and write workout-related data needed for app functionality.
How We Use Data
- To calculate cadence and play metronome guidance during workouts.
- To sync session settings and state between iPhone and Apple Watch.
Data Collection and Sharing
- LockStep does not require an account.
- LockStep does not sell personal data.
- LockStep does not use personal data for advertising.
- Data is not shared with third parties except Apple services required for app distribution and operation diagnostics.
Data Storage
- Cadence and session processing happens on-device on your iPhone and Apple Watch.
- Saved settings remain on your device unless you remove the app.
Your Choices
- You can revoke permissions at any time in iOS and watchOS Settings.
- You can stop using the app and delete it at any time.
